Interior lighting shoot at Saffron House, London

This was a interior shoot at Saffron House in Farringdon, London for lighting manufacture Trilux. They had asked me to photography their So-Tube suspended LED fittings which were used in the newly refurbished ground floor. I don't normally look forward to photographing unoccupied spaces because the lack of people and furniture can often make it difficult to create good compositions with interesting narrative.  Luckily the ground floor opens onto Saffron Hill and there was plenty of passing pedestrians to help with the compositions and draw the viewers eye into the frame.

Some of the shots were taken with the Nikon PC-E 24mm shift lens which makes it possible to show much more of the ceiling and lighting than the floor Images while avoiding converging verticals which are to be avoided in an architectural style image. Details were captured with the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8. An image from the shoot was featured on the front of  cover of Energy in Buildings & Industry Nov/Dec 2023.
