I am a specialist Architectural Photographer working thought out London and the UK.

After working as an MRICS Building Surveyor for 20 years, I embarked on a photography degree to develop a greater understanding of narrative and contextualisation within the built environment. After studying full time for a BA(Hons) in Photographic Practice I graduated with 1st Class Honours. Also winning the Dave Keskeys Memorial Arts Award for best art student and a nomination for student of the year in the process. My fine art work is on going and continually influences my commercial practice allowing me to produce work that is involving and descriptive.

I now work full time as a professional Architectural and Interior photographer and I provide the following services:

■ Architectural and Interior photography.

■ Specialist lighting photography.

■ Drone photography and video.

■ Construction progress documentation.

■ CPD sessions for on the theory and practice of architectural photography.

You can purchase a selection of my work though the RIBA pix website.

My work is typically inspired by photographers that are not generally known for their architectural work but for their ability to display a strong sense of narrative, such as Walker Evans, Duane Michals, Saul Leiter and Lee Friedlander. Further inspiration comes from the study of photographers that use Architecture as a means of commenting on society and humanity as opposed to the study of Architecture in its own right.

These photographers have all emerged from the The Kunstakademie Düsseldorf after studying under Bernd and Hilla Becher. The work of this Düsseldorf school  is typified by the likes of Candida Höfer, Thomas Struth and Andreas Gursky.
