Shoot in Northamptonshire for The White Kitchen Company

This was an interior shoot for The White Kitchen Company. The self build project started with the construction of a new 2 storey extension. The homeowner then installed the made to measure kitchen supplied by TWKC. This type of shoot is often tricky because you need to manage multiple light sources often with different colour temperatures. I always try and produce shots that show good colour reproduction of the key parts like the painted cabinet doors, while trying to retain some warmth and a natural look to the lighting . The key to this is not to overpower the scene with supplemental lighting but to add light locally to brighten certain areas but also help with the colour correction.

The scene below was supplemented with flash lighting located behind the island, in the doorway to the right and behind the camera directed at the units on the right of the frame. The shots still needed some blending in post production but it’s best to get as close as possible to the finished product on site.
